Marilyn Piperno was sworn in as an assemblywoman in January 2022.
Piperno is a fitness instructor and nutrition coach, certified by the Athletics and Fitness Association of America and the National Academy of Sports Medicine.
After earning bachelor’s degrees in literature and communications in 1987 from Pace University, she started a successful 15-year publishing career. Piperno first worked on academic textbooks and later consumer monthly publications such as Shape women’s
health and fitness magazine, Child parenting magazine and Reader’s Digest.
Pivoting from publishing to focusing on her two sons and daughter, she became actively involved in the Colts Neck Parent Teacher Organization, the education program at St. Mary’s Parish in Colts Neck, and coached youth sports. She launched an annual food drive in March of 2017 benefiting Lunch Break in Red Bank, the Center in Asbury Park and Ronald McDonald House in Long Branch.
Piperno resides in Colts Neck with her husband Paul, and their three children.
