In Recognition of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.

Today, we commemorate the annual observance of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Day, a day to honor the life and legacy of one of the most iconic civil rights leaders in American history.

Dr. King was a leader who inspired us all to take action for what we believe in and whose name has become synonymous with courage, justice, and equality for all people, regardless of race or creed —ultimately sacrificing himself for the betterment of our country and laying the foundation for an America that can truly live up to its ideals of liberty and justice for all.

From his seminal “I Have A Dream” speech to his passionate activism on behalf of Black Americans throughout the 1960s, Dr. King worked tirelessly to promote racial equality, economic justice, and civil rights - inspiring millions worldwide who strive for social justice and human rights.

We must never forget what Dr. King taught us: That we are all connected; that oppression anywhere is a threat to justice everywhere; that change only comes through sacrifice; that our diversity is our greatest strength; that love will always conquer hate; and that we can create lasting change through kindness, empathy, understanding, and love.

Therefore, let us carry forward Dr. King's vision into a future of greater hope and opportunity for everyone. Recommitting ourselves to achieving his dream of a more equitable world where everyone can enjoy the same opportunities together.
